This switch has a remote control switch machine attached so you can wire the switch to be "thrown" (changing the direction of the rail), from your control panel, rather than from the switch itself. Comes with a 1/3 18" radius section, making the curved leg equal to an 18" radius section. To add a passing track and siding, simply replace a 9" straight section. When replacing an 18' radius curved section with an Atlas Snap-Switch, add a 1 1/2" straight section to the opposite side.Features:

Atlas HO Scale Code 100 Snap Track features black ties and nickel-silver rail.It's perfect for modelers of all skill levels looking for high-quality,prototypical-looking track. Black ties feature molded centerline nail holes foreasy mounting with No. 150-2540 track nails.
Fully compatible with all Code 100
Snap Track and conventional Code 100 track systems. Adapter track joiners No.150-551 are available so you can also use Code 83 track on the same layout ifdesired. The track geometry of Code 100 track matches that of Code 83 SnapTrack, so Code 100 track can be substituted for Code 83 in various Snap Tracktrack plans. Code 100 Snap Track is part of the extensive line of AtlasHO Scale Code 100 track.
The GP40-2 was EMD’s follow-up to the very successful GP40 locomotive model. While many internal upgrades were introduced (such as the use of improved, modular Dash 2 electrical components), there were some external differences between the early production GP40-2 and late-production GP40. This included an engine water-level sight glass on the right side of the body (a feature common to all EMD Dash 2 models), a larger electrical cabinet air filter box, a lengthened battery compartment on the left side, and a slightly modified cab.
All GP40-2s featured a 16-cylinder EMD 645-series diesel engine which was rated at 3,000 horsepower. Early to mid-production phase 2 GP40-2s were built from mid-1976 through late-1979. Several major spotting features of Phase 2 units include: an 88” low nose, corrugated radiator grilles and notched step wells.

This Atlas Code 100 Custom-Line Mark IV Turnout features nickel silver rail and black plastic ties that match other Atlas Code 100 trackage. This turnout can be set up as a remote or manual switch with your choice of switch machine (sold separately). The turnout comes equipped with a metal frog that can be powered if necessary for your layout, and a throw bar with the extension on the straight (or outside on curved versions) stock rail side. Custom Line turnouts feature Code 100 low-oxidation nickel silver rail with a realistic cross-section and can be used with a variety of switch machines or ground throws (sold separately). Each turnout includes four rail joiners. You can use the frog power contact option to energize the frog and prevent loss of power when a locomotive is passing through. For track planning purposes Code 100 Custom-Line Mark IV Turnouts are not interchangeable with Atlas Snap Switch turnouts in layout plans.
