    Optimized for No Prep RC 2S Drag Racing - High Torque Castle Technology CSE060-0089-00, Castle Creations 1412 Sensored 4-Pole Brushless No Prep Drag Motor (6400kV) The Castle Creations 1412-6400kV Sensored 4-Pole Brushless Motor is a mid RPM design developed specifically for 2S No Prep RC drag racing. 12awg wire and 6.5mm bullet connectors have been combined with an application specific design that allow this motor to create big torque and high watt output. During the design phase, Castle went with a slightly different approach than current motors on the market. Most no prep motors are standard 540 size with very high kv (low turn). These motors rely on high RPM and low torque to push the car down the track (think turbo charged 4 cylinder). The 1412 is longer than most drag motors, which provides significantly more torque, acceleration, and cooler temps (think American Muscle). This results in a high horsepower, snappy, cool running motor. Your final drive ratio will need to be decreased (larger pinion/smaller spur) to get the RPMs up for top speed; due to the size of the motor it will take just about any gearing and CHEAT timing you can throw at it. Castle beefed up the design over a standard 14xx series motor to handle the high demands of drag racing. It uses a 5mm output shaft, 12AWG battery wires and 6.5mm bullets. Due to the high power nature of this motor it is highly recommended to use a 1/8th scale size ESC or larger. The 1/8th Mamba Monster X and 1/6th scale Mamba Monster X 8s are great pairings with this motor. SmartSense SMARTSENSE uses the motors sensors to start the motor to provide smooth starts, excellent torque, and low-speed drivability. Once the motor is turning, it seamlessly transitions to Castle’s ULTRA- EFFICIENT sensorless mode. When running, a motor must transition between different load points and a different timing advance is required for optimal efficiency at all load points. Using mechanical timing adjustments alone, you can only target one driving condition, such as higher start power or higher top end speed. This sacrifices performance and efficiency during the other driving phases. Electronic timing in SMARTSENSE will advance timing automatically for peak performance during all driving conditions. MOTOR STANDARD AND OPTIONS DETAILS: Re-Shim (standard brass shims) – Included in the price.  We adjust the rotor shims so that the rotor “floats” centered properly within the magnetic field.  If required, the rotor shaft is also polished to ensure that it fits the inner race of the bearing correctly.  We also make sure that it has the correct end play, so that it is not bound up or too loose. Rotor Re-Shim Option (TEFLON® shims) – As with the standard brass re-shim option above, we adjust the rotor shims so that the rotor “floats” centered properly within the magnetic field.  With this option, we also use TEFLON® shims for the outermost shims, to minimize any side-load binding between the rotor and bearings.  If required, the rotor shaft is also polished to ensure that it fits the inner race of the bearing correctly.  We also make sure that it has the correct end play, so that it is not bound up or too loose. Bearing Option – If you choose the AXON X10 hybrid bearings option, we make sure the bearings seats are sized correctly before installing the bearings.  This ensures that the bearings are not squeezed or distorted when installed, which could cause extra drag or non-concentrical bearing movement.  If required, the rotor shaft is also polished to ensure that it fits the inner race of the bearings correctly. Rotor Options – Choose the 13.0mm modified rotor at no extra cost, or choose the 13.5, 12.5, 12.3mm or 12.0mm optional modified rotor listed above.  There is an up-charge for the optional 13.5, 12.5, 12.3mm or 12.0mm modified rotor, but you will also receive the original 13.0mm rotor if you choose the “optional” 13.5, 12.5, 12.3mm or 12.0mm modified rotor.  All rotors are checked for correct bearing fit.  If required, the rotor shaft is polished to ensure that it fits the inner race of the bearing correctly. Pro Titanium Timing Adjustment Screws Option – Eliminates the power robbing magnetic drag on the rotor that the stock steel screws cause and improves RPM, efficiency and horsepower!Increases RPM by 100+ RPM compared to the stock steel screws!Reduces weight by .26 grams compared to the stock steel screws! Rotor Strength Test Option – Your rotor is tested to make sure it meets proper specs.  If we find that the rotor does not meet our strict standards, we will replace it.  With this test, the rotor’s magnetic field strength is tested on our Fantom Facts Machine v3 rotor tester.   If you choose the printout option, the rotor test results of your rotor are supplied with your motor.  If you choose an optional rotor, we will test both of your rotors.  All modified rotors are guaranteed to meet our strict specifications, even if you don’t choose the print option. Coil Resistance Test Option – Your stator is tested to make sure it meets proper specs.  With this test, we evaluate the ohms resistance of your stator to make sure it meets proper specs and to detect shorts.  Each coil is tested individually.  If we find that the stator does not meet our strict standards, we will replace it.  With this test, the stator coils are tested on an Instek GOM-804, which is the same as ROAR uses.  If you choose the printout option, the coil test results of your stator are supplied with your motor.  All modified stators are guaranteed to meet our strict specifications, even if you don’t choose the print option. Motor Evaluation Option – All modified motors are evaluated using the highly accurate Motolyser brushless motor tester.  This includes checking the rotor asymmetry, as well as the sensor board deviation and timing accuracy.     Introducing our latest motor testing tool, the Facts Machine 3S Precision Resistance / Inductance Meter!  This incredible new tool allows you to test both the resistance and inductance of your brushless motor!  This information is critical in knowing the performance capability of your motors. Did you know that knowing the inductance of your motor is just as important as knowing the resistance? Yet most racers don’t pay much attention to this.  Most racers are only concerned with getting the lowest resistance stator they can find, however, this is only half the equation in finding the best stator possible.  Inductance also plays a very important role in your motor’s performance.  The general rule of thumb is the combination of the lowest resistance and highest inductance produces the highest performance for R/C motors and the difference between these two numbers we call the “spread”.  Typically, the bigger the spread, the better the motor will perform.  For example, using common 17.5 turn numbers of 18.0 milliohms as the resistance number and 30.0 milliHenries as the inductance number, this is a spread of 12.  If you could find another 17.5, for example, with a spread of 12.5, this motor will run better on the track compared to the motor with the spread of 12.  Not knowing the “spread” basically leaves you guessing at what motor is truly best in your box. In addition, the Fantom Facts Machine 3S is not mass produced, but rather is hand-built one at a time, in the U.S.A., to the highest standards in the R/C industry.  The Facts Machine 3S calibration is double-checked for the highest accuracy possible, using 5% tolerance resistors and inductors, referenced to our shop Instek GOM-802 milliohm meter and Duoyi inductance meter, so you can feel confident that we are providing you with the most precise stator tester in R/C.  To purchase an Instek GOM-802 and quality inductance meter costs over $500, so the Facts Machine 3S is an incredible value for all serious racers.
