The AtomRC RTH Dolphin V1.1 is a 845mm wingspan V-tail plane. The Dolphin can fly stable at high and low speeds, and the large fuselage offers lots of space to install the electronics. Based on the F405 2-4S 20A Flight Controller V4, the F405 4S 20A Toothpick Flight Controller V5 applies a new ICM42688 gyro and ESC chip that comes with BLUEJAY ESC firmware so it supports bidirectional D-shot. In addition to plug-and-play ports for the receiver and HD Digitial VTX, the same as the V4 board, the V5 board is made with a more rational layout for easy solder and preventing solder from jumping to another pad and shorting components.

Features
Not only is the flight controller board made with a rational layout, but it is also designed with larger solder pads. It is very easy for pilots to solder external electronics.
The flight controller is capable of handling 20A continuous current and reaching 25A peak current due to high-quality MOSFETs.
Soldering motor wires to the pad directly allows lower resistance for more current on motors. Besides, solder pads are reinforced by thick copper and edge plating processes, ensuring a solid value and durable use.
Reserving the UART ports layout, UART3 for RX, UART4 for HD digital VTX, UART6 for Analog VTX, and UART1 for spare use, it is more convenient for pilots to solder.
This board comes with a 25.5x25.5mm whoop mounting pattern; this board can be added to both the toothpick drone and the cinematic whoop quadcopter
Note: F405 4S 20A FC V5 is available to flash both BLHeli_S and BLUEJAY ESC firmware and it comes with default BLUEJAY firmware. The main difference is that the BLUEJAY firmware supports bidirectional D-shot, while BLHeli_S does not support it.
Comparison to F405 2-4S 20A V4 FC
We upgraded the F405 2-4S 20A V4 board to V5 by adopting ICM42688 gyro instead of MPU6000 and adding some new features. ICM42688 gyro works great in most cases. Except for the gyro, the V5 board comes with a completely new ESC firmware that supports bidirectional D-shot. The way to connect motors changed and is solderable only on the V5 board. Besides the V5 FC board features high-quality material for stability and durability. The below pictures show the difference between the two flight controllers.
Note: The F405 2-4S 20A Flight Controller V4 with BMI270 gyro will be available for purchase for a period of time.

F405 4S 20A FC V5 integrates the Plug & Play port for the external RX and HD digital VTX, and there will be a 4-pin connector for RX and a 6-pin connector for HD digital VTX in the package. Thus, we highly recommend pilots use the port to save the solder work.

The hub diameter is also increased to thicken the root chord maximizing durability. Most of the weight is centralized near the hub creating a low moment of inertia of 0.77 grams*square centimeter which in turn makes a very responsive prop. The Avan Blur was designed from the ground up starting from design constraints such as RPM, air speed, and required thrust. FlyFishRC is excited to introduce a new addition to the relatively fresh sub-250g 5” freestyle drone category - the FlyFishRC Tony!In this modern era, where our hobby meets with aircraft weight restrictions, flying drones larger than 3” has become increasingly challenging. However, we all love a rip on a good old 5” drone, don't we? That's why we believed it was the perfect time to create an exceptionally lightweight 5-inch frame with the potential to craft a sub-250g 5” drone. And that's how Tony came to life.Our objectives were clear: create a lightweight frame with excellent flight characteristics and durability. While these aims are relatively straightforward with a standard 5-inch frame, working with a sub-250g 5” frame is an entirely different animal. We won't pretend that this frame was developed without any compromises, but we've given our all to make it a frame you'll eagerly take out to fly day after day!Tony is a straightforward and easy-to-build platform, fully O3-ready, equipped with our signature CNC aluminum camera plates to ensure your valuable camera remains maximally protected during all types of crashes. It's also compatible with analog cameras, VTX, as well as the HDZERO and Walksnail HD systems (Please verify dimensions for compatibility with all VTXs).We highly recommend using AIO flight controllers to keep the weight as light as possible, although a 20x20 mini stack will also work well.For instance, to achieve a sub-250g configuration in our test builds, we utilized a 40A AIO FC, CADDX Vista Nebula Pro, 2004 FlyFishRC Flash motors, TBS Crossfire Nano, bi-blade HQ props, GNB HV 380mAh 6S battery, and one battery strap, resulting in an all-up weight of 248.7g.However, if your intention is to use this frame with the DJI O3 system, the all-up weight of such a setup will increase to around 260g, as the O3 is notably heavier than the Vista. In this case, if staying under 250g is crucial, you might contemplate using a 4S version of the same battery or stripping down the O3 to shave off some of the excess weight.Overall, Tony is an exciting frame that offers an incredibly enjoyable flying experience. It provides a distinct feeling of being nimble yet not overly floaty due to its lightness. "For me personally, Long Range cruising through epic landscapes is the best thing about FPV! But unfortunately, it was always kind of difficult to practice legally and without bothering people with all the noise a massive 6 or 7" long-range quad produces.
So the basic idea behind the original Project #MicroLongRange was born: Scale down a 7" long-range quad until it is below 250g take-off weight. With the support of an awesome community on Facebook and Instagram as well as a massive development effort by Flywoo, this concept has seen a lot of improvements that are now all implemented in the Explorer LR!
This tiny quad is equipped with GPS, Crossfire, and an independent model finder to give you the necessary confidence to push it to the maximum range of digital and analog video transmission. The powertrain with its GOKU 16x16 stack and the all-new 2700kV 1404 motors spinning 4" props is optimized for maximum efficiency and low weight: Flight times of way over ten minutes on a regular 850mah 4S LiPo battery are easily achievable! Cruising speeds of 40-50 kph (25-30mph) are astonishingly high for such a small quad and have allowed me to do 10km (6 miles) round trips easily. And the best thing about it: It's incredibly quiet! You will barely be able to hear it flying by as soon as you are a few dozen meters away. ”
